1877: Thomas Robinson
Thomas Robinson, East Nissouri
Born on July 11, 1834, Thomas Carlisle Robinson was a lifelong resident of East Nissouri Township where he farmed on Lot 14, Concession 11. He served as Reeve of East Nissouri Township from 1871-1877, and was elected County Warden in 1877. According to East Nissouri Township: People, Perseverance, Progress, Volume Two he was considered a bit of an eccentric and would walk to Woodstock to attend County Meetings.
Thomas Robinson suffered a stroke and passed away on December 29, 1924 at the home of John Weir, where he was living at the time. He is buried at the Kintore Presbyterian Cemetery.
