1881: Stephen Hall

   

Stephen Hall, Blenheim

Born in Scotland, around 1830, Stephen Hall was a farmer on Lot 15, Concession 12, Blenheim Township near the Village of Washington, where he took an interest in stock raising. He served as a Deputy Reeve for the Township in 1864, 1871 and 1877-1878. He served as Reeve from 1872-1874, 1879-1882 and from 1884-1891. He was elected as County Warden in 1881. He also served as Bridge Commissioner for the County of Oxford for a number of years.

A Reformer and a Presbyterian, Stephen Hall passed away in Toronto on March 22, 1894 and is buried in the Ayr Cemetery.
