1899: William Schell

William Schell, East Zorra, East Oxford

Born in Toronto in 1842, William Schell served as Reeve for East Oxford Township from 1891-1896 and County Councillor for Division No. 7 East Zorra & East Oxford from 1897-1900. In 1899, he was elected Warden for the County of Oxford. 

He married Pricilla Louisa Carroll in North Norwich Township on November 25, 1873. Employed as a farmer for many years, William Schell passed away on November 29, 1919 and is buried in the Norwich Village Cemetery.
