1930: Henry Hanlon

  

Henry Hanlon, North Oxford

A native of North Oxford Township, Henry Hanlon was born in 1870. For fifteen years, he specialized in the raising of purebred Clydesdale horses before switching his attention to mixed farming on his 425 acre farm on the 1st Concession.

He served as Reeve from 1928-1930 and was elected Warden at the opening session of County Council in 1930.

A member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Ingersoll, Henry Hanlon passed away in 1953 and is buried in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
