J.F. McDonald, East Zorra
Born, in 1885, and raised in East Zorra Township on the family homestead, John F. McDonald served as Deputy Reeve for the Township from 1931-1932 and Reeve from 1933-1934. In 1933, he was elected County Warden.
He served as the first president of the Oxford Farmer’s Co-Operative and was a former Director of the S.S. Hope Fire Insurance Company. He also, was a member of the Chalmers United Church. In June 1929, he was elected President of the Oxford Reform. Association.
J.F. McDonald passed away in 1969 and is buried in the Woodstock Presbyterian Cemetery.
