1936: William Lampman
William Lampman, East Oxford
William Francis Lampman was born in East Oxford Township on June 9, 1871 to Archibald and Elspet (nee Innis) Lampman. In 1911, he married Georgina Scott in Woodstock, Ontario.
He served as Reeve of East Oxford Township from 1935-1937 and, in 1936, was elected County Warden. He was also a member of the Woodstock Agricultural Society and for three years prior to his death, served as President of the Oxford Children’s Aid Society.
He passed away at the age of sixty-eight on September 14, 1939 and is buried in the Woodstock Anglican Cemetery.
