1953: Thomas Pellow

  

Thomas Pellow, West Oxford 

Thomas Franklin Pellow was born in Blenheim Township on July 8, 1907 and married Vera Tabor on March 20, 1926 in Beachville, Ontario. He began his career in municipal politics in 1946 and would ultimately serve as Reeve of West Oxford Township from 1949-1953. He was elected County Warden for 1953 on the 13th ballot.

Besides working as a farmer, he served as an elder of Sweaburg United Church and was a member of the King Solomon Lodge. Thomas passed away on February 9, 1986, in his 79th year, and is buried in the Oxford Memorial Park Cemetery, in Woodstock, Ontario.
