1963: Peter McDonald

   

Peter McDonald, Blenheim

Born on June 1, 1915 in North Easthope, Peter McDonald started his career in politics in 1956, as part of the Blenheim Township Council. He served as Deputy Reeve from 1960-1961 and Reeve from 1962-1965. He was elected Warden on January 15, 1963 on the 8th ballot.

Outside of municipal politics, he owned a 344 acre farm near Bright where he raised beef cattle and hogs. 

Peter McDonald III passed away in 1997, and is buried in Hampstead Cemetery, Perth County.
