William M. Sutherland, West Zorra
William (Bill) M. Sutherland was a dairy farmer in West Zorra Township, where he owned 250 acres on RR2 Thamesford. He served as a Township Councillor for several years before being elected Reeve from 1962-1964. On January 21, 1964, he was elected County Warden on the 9th Ballot, defeating George M. Hogg, of East Nissouri, making him the 110th Warden.
He was involved in the Embro Community as a member of the Caledonia Society, Thistle Masonic Lodge No. 250, and Embro Agricultural Society. Bill Sutherland passed away at his home on January 29, 2010 and is buried in the Embro Cemetery.
