1972: Clair G. Minler

   

Clair G. Minler, North Oxford

Born on May 18, 1916, Clair G. Minler was a member of North Oxford Township Council for eleven years prior to becoming warden. He served as Reeve from 1969-1972 and was elected to the position of County Warden on January 18, 1972 on the 8th ballot. During his time on County Council he served on the Roads Committee, Warden’s Committee, Oxford County Planning Board and Oxford Children’s Aid Society.

He also was a Past Master of St. John Lodge No. 68 A.F. & A.M. and was a member of the Ingersoll First Baptist Church. Clair Minler passed away on November 10, 1993 and is buried in the Harris Street Cemetery in Ingersoll, Ontario.
