2001-2003: David Oliphant

David Oliphant, East Zorra-Tavistock

Born in Carlisle, England on January 22, 1940, David Oliphant was an underwriter with South Easthope Mutual Insurance for over 30 years. He was first elected Mayor of East Zorra-Tavistock in 1989. He served in that position until 2003 and was elected as Warden for the 2001-2002-2003 term of office. 

He was a member of several Tavistock community organizations including the Tavistock Men’s Club, Tavistock Masonic Lodge and Grace United Church and was also a member of the Stratford Shrine Club. 

David Oliphant passed away of September 14, 2015, at the age of seventy-five and was interned at the Grace United Cemetery, in Tavistock, Ontario.
